Experience the world of a modern day spy

Julius Styles: The International is a taste of the world of an economic hitman, complete with all the wonderful toys. Taking cues from the film work of Wesley Snipes as well as his creative influence, Julius Styles: The International is a point-and-click espionage action app for iOS.

The gameplay of Julius Styles: The International focuses on puzzle solving while exploring the different environments for items to combine into tools. With an isometric 3D overhead view, players will guide Styles around levels talking with his associates while they try to locate their target. Julius Styles: The International visual are impressive to watch, especially on the larger screen of the iPad 2.

Julius Styles: The International feels like an updated spy thriller. He might not have futuristic gadgets, but with PDA Styles is able to complete his objectives. Focused on solving puzzles Julius Styles: The International includes many recognizable puzzle inserted into the story seamlessly. Two-step lock-picking, rewiring electronic codes, and even creating new items out of combining objects; Julius Styles: The International keeps it fresh over the first episode.

This first episode contains two chapters. The first chapter of Julius Styles: The International is more of the tutorial for how the game plays. The second chapter is the first step into experiencing the life of Julius Styles: The International. Most of Julius Styles: The International happens in the shadows. Players will conceal themselves and attempt to accomplish their objectives without being seen or heard.

Julius Styles: The International also features some rudimentary shooting elements. Once drawing the pistol, players just have to rapidly tap enemies to take them out. It is not entirely polished, but with the focus of Julius Styles: The International on stealth, it is passable. There were also some strange environmental puzzle decisions. Hiding necessary items behind a normally solid wall was not great design.

The app works best on the larger screen because the inventory screen covers a good portion of the bottom of the screen. The focus on puzzle solving is fun for the first episode, but subsequent releases need more variety. Explanations to solve puzzles are unclear for some puzzles. The first episode introduces the elements of Julius Styles: The International and the next episodes should be able to focus more on expanding the world of Julius Styles: The International.

Julius Styles: The International is a fun puzzle app and the episodic content could greatly improve over time.
